A commercial motorcyclist from Busia county, Kenya, is contemplating selling one of his kidneys in a bid to raise school fees to enable his son join form one (JSS1).

Felix Juma Omanyo, 46, from Ikhula village in Mudembi, Budalang'i constituency, made the decision after his son, Eric Onyango, passed well in his 2016 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams but could not raise enough fees to take him to secondary school.
Onyango received an admission letter from Kolanya Boys High School in Teso North after he scored 351 marks out of a possible 500.

The young lad welcomed his father's decision to raise school fees for him.
"I am very grateful to my dad for resolving to sell one of his kidneys to raise the required fees,” Onyango said as quoted by Star.
Onyango narrowly missed on the Wings to Fly scholarship by Equity Bank.
