Google Works With UN To Create Site Explaining Syrian Crisis

Google has created an interactive site intended to help people understand the Syrian war and the country's massive refugee crisis. Its new "Searching for Syria" website was created through Google's charitable arm, which worked with the UN.

The site combines satellite imagery, 360-degree photos, videos, refugee stories, and other information. It features data provided by the UN's High Commissioner for Refugees.
Google says it's noticed people are very interested in Syria's crisis. The query, "What is happening in Syria?" was one of the top searches in Germany, France, and the UK last year.
Searching for Syria answers basic questions with a combination of text and images. Five primary questions are addressed in a way that's meant to highlight the humanitarian disaster present in the country.
