To Prepare For Chinese Moon Mission, Volunteers Will Stay In A Lab For 200 Days

In preparation for China's first manned journey to the Moon, four postgraduate volunteers will live in a sealed laboratory for 200 days. The lab facility is meant to replicate the conditions that'll be encountered when people are sent to space. On
Sunday, their stay in the lab began at the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
China hopes to send humans to the Moon within 15 to 20 years, while other countries and companies have their sights set on Mars.
The Yuegong-1 test facility will help Chinese scientists investigate the reliability of its bioregenerative life support system (BLSS) and they'll learn how the conditions impact people over time.
